Pension accounts and securities trading

If you have a capital pension, annuity pension or private pension with your bank, you can choose to invest your pension funds in securities. The securities must be deposited in a special custody account linked to your pension account. You cannot invest your pension funds freely in any type of securities, but you can invest them in shares, government bonds and mortgage bonds admitted for trading on a regulated market (a stock exchange).

When trading securities for your pension account, you can trade with or without the advice of your bank - see under ‘Your securities - information and advice’

You can read more about investing pension funds in the Danish Executive Order on Pension Pools and Other Tax-Privileged Savings, etc. (bekendt-gørelse om puljepension og andre skattebegunstigede opsparingsformer m.v.) here, in Danish:
